MASTER INSTRUCTOR, S. MITCH HARROW
Master Instructor Mitch Harrow, personal student of Grandmaster R.M. Yamanaka, has been training and teaching Martial Arts for over 30 years. He is the original founder of Shuhari Martial Arts Studio here in Barrie and has spent his entire career in Martial Arts building a reputation of excellence respected both here in Canada and internationally. In the late 90s he travelled to the World Tournament in Okinawa twice to compete and coach where he also had the honour of training and ranking directly under the late Grandmaster Miyazato Iichi, the former head of the Jundokan Okinawan Goju-Ryu.
Shihan Harrow, following in the footsteps of his teacher, is a true Master of Budo. His commitment to his craft, his love of life and his loyalty to his teacher set an example in the modern world of Martial Arts that few can match. For over 17 years, Master Harrow has been wholeheartedly dedicated to building a better society through his work with the families, schools boards and charities in and around the city of Barrie.
Shihan Harrow, through his patience and guidance, has forever earned himself a place in the hearts of his students. Already he has made an incredible impact on the lives that he has touched to date. Our club is looking forward to many more years to come and we are thankful for every day he steps on the floor to share his wisdom and expertise with us.
